To Our Clients & Friends: Welcome to our weekly series “Helping Entrepreneurs Succeed.”  Each week, we share a favorite video clip of a successful entrepreneur, investor or business leader on a variety of topics.  This week, we present Brad Feld, the managing director at Foundry Group, and a very smart investor (and indeed impressive guy).

In this interesting, three-minute clip (courtesy of Stanford University’s Entrepreneurship Corner), Brad discusses among other things:

• his favorite Star Wars phrase, “do or do not, there is no try”;
• how great entrepreneurs go after their venture “with the full force of everything they have”;
• the importance of focusing on the effort, not the outcome;
• his focus, as an angel investor, on the “passion” of the entrepreneur; and
• his focus today, as a VC, on entrepreneurs who are “obsessed with their vision and their product.”
